The Children's Society is a national charity whose approach is driven by Christian values but works with children of every creed and background. We want to create a world where all children are valued, respected and heard. The priorities are with children who have nowhere else to turn including runaways, disabled children and young offenders.
The belief is paramount that children should be happy and that young people deserve to reach their full potential.
The Society has 70 programmes and Children's Centres throughout England, all made possible by fundraising and donations
At St. Helen's, 35 parishoners have Children's Society house collecting boxes. We hold two Christingle services each year, one organised by Church Walk School, the other by the parish. Last year's collection has totalled in excess of £250 and we are still counting!
